In the next episode in our series of jugend related bands the turn has come to Italys own Bizarro Welt
What is BIZARRO WELT and how would you describe your music?
We a German-speaking punkrock band from South Tyrol in Northern Italy, consisting of three humans and a drum computer named „Trappele“ („Little Device“ in South Tyrolean slang).
Our music is only intended for cool people and gives our fans the feeling that they're better than everybody else. We combine Punk and different styles of Rock with funny, stupid, dirty, happy, senselessly violent and sometimes surprisingly profound lyrics. Some of our songs are also influenced by popular stuff from our youth in the 90s, like the one with the death threat against Dawson from Dawson‘s Creek.
How long have you been playing?
The band was founded in 2009, but we've been playing in other bands since we were teenagers. Out first live gig was in 2011, after the release of our second album.
How many of you are Turbojugends and which chapters are you from?
All of us three are in the same chapter: Turbojugend Naturns.
Have you had any advantage of joining Turbojugend? Where can people find your music if they are curious?
Joining Turbojugend has given us some big advantages over the years. Not only are some of our fellow Turbojugend members also our biggest and most faithful fans. But through Turbojugend we also got some unexpected opportunities for performing at some gigs we would probably not have been asked to play at otherwise, like at Torpedo Festival 6 in Luzern (Switzerland) or Turbo Halloween 2016 in Salzburg (Austria).
We have a website (www.bizarrowelt.de), a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/bizarrowelt) and a YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIDRVJbTMYGU4aEfLTj7WAQ). Our latest album is available on Amazon, Spotify and many other digital download and streaming services. CDs and other merchandise can be ordered via E-Mail or Facebook, or simply show up at one of our concerts ;)
Absinth or Fernet Branca?
Fernet!
Which of Turbonegro's singer do you prefer?
Hank and Tony. We have enough love for both!
